Southern Springs Stable is currently located outside Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. My goal is to raise quality horses with a focus on resistance free training from foundation to finish. I place a high priority on performance and confirmation. My passion for quality performance horses with correct confirmation can be seen in the personality, athletic ability, and breeding of my horses. Attention to details like confirmation and bloodlines result in well rounded horses with "cow" that can be ridden and relied on. I hope you will enjoy them as much as I do!!

My breeding program is centered around the best bloodlines. Our beautiful sire, Smart Adversary passed on in 2009 - he will be sadly missed. However, I am fortunate to have my senior stallion, Solanos Doublesan and some new up and coming reining and working cow stallions. Bloodlines you will find in my breeding program include: Smart Chic O''Lena, Son of a Doc, Solanos Peppy San, CD Rio, Dox Best Silver, Colonel Freckles, Showdown Zee, Reminic, and Dry Doc 17 are just some of the bloodlines in the first and second generations of my horses.

The summer is going great. Nanette and her students have been competing in the Saskatchewan Reined Cowhorse Association. Nanette is riding a home raised and trained daughter of Son or Reminic and Docadaughter, who is owned by Chris Monette - she has been doing really well, she was originally trained for reining and now has been brought into working cow world and has the cow ability. Nanettes students, Katelyn and Emily, are doing a great job exhibiting their horses also. Katelyn, who is riding a home raised mare off of Badges Travelena, is consistently placing. And Wendy Fernet, who is riding Sierra Skip Too, is consistently placing and proving to be pretty tough competition.

Nanette will be hosting another Horse Sale on August 8th, 2010 at Fernets Arena (just outside Saskatoon) on August 8th and will be once again, offering some great started horses for sale. More information coming shortly.
